More football pics from N.Y. Jets training camp in Cortland, N.Y.!
Yeah, these guys are some serious athletes. After primarily following the defense yesterday, I stayed with the offense today.
My new favorite Jets quarterback, Geno Smith, tosses some pretty passes.
He can also scramble a bit, too. That’s first-round pick Sheldon Richardson (#91), chasing him down.
Is the Jets offense D.O.A. already? I have no idea what these tombstone-like things are along the sidelines, but they had the numbers of all the receivers …
I love symmetry …
Wide receiver Titus Ryan pulling in a pass.
Receiver Jordan White stretching out for a catch.
Stephen Hill again. He’s a big man.
Oh, and there was a fight between defensive back Antonio Cromartie and receiver Vidal Hazelton, who are somewhere in the middle of this scrum.
Boys will be boys!
But there was more football than fights.
Receivers coach Sanjay Lal working with receivers, explaining a drill.
Said receivers, running the drill. Yes, there’s lots of this kind of thing, and sadly, I find it fascinating.
One very loud gentleman was yelling entertaining comments at the players … he’s clearly entertaining from head to toe—he told me that his grandkids gave him these Yo Gabba Gabba shoes for camp because they’re Jets green.
Back to football!
Nice catch!
The much-maligned receiving corps may fight with the defensive backs, but at least they seem to get along with each other.
Mark Sanchez (#6) and Nick Mangold (#74) watching Geno Smith play quarterback. Sanchez: “Well, my hair is better than his, right?” Mangold: “Uh … call me when you can grow a real beard.”
Awesome work, my friend.
